The heart behind PolkaDot Pantry is to save you time AND money. My friend and I began our coupon journey a little over a year ago and were BLOWN away with the amount of money we were saving. It didn’t take long to realize, that finding these deals took A LOT of time. Hours were spent on the computer trying to find the best of the best deals, and THEN we had to go shopping. We dreamed of a website that compiled JUST the best deals, on JUST the items we needed, at JUST the stores we shopped at, and it needed to be SIMPLE. I mean, that’s not too much to ask, right?

The dreaming began. We quickly came to an agreement that a system was needed for our busy lifestyle. Spending a whole day cutting out coupons and organizing them in a 10inch binder grew old REALLY quick. We started focusing on deals that were FREE, better than free, or ridiculously cheap. PERIOD. A stockpile of those items were created to last 6 months to a year. We decided NOT to stress out if every item in the grocery cart didn’t have a coupon to match. It took no time before the pantry was full and extra money was in the bank, and the best part…it was WAY less stressful!

Once we started saving money, ALL of our friends wanted to know HOW to do the same! The emails, texts, tweets, and messages began to pour in. We were asked to teach classes, go on shopping field trips, give tips and advice. Let’s face it. We ALL have to buy groceries, who doesn’t want to get the best deals? It was so rewarding to inspire others to save money.

Finally, there came a point when our pantry was full with WAY more than we needed. This is where the fun began. Loading up the car and taking groceries to someone in need was no problem at all. When friends came over to visit, they always left with a bag of groceries in hand. Blessing others was so easy to do! Who knew that using coupons was going to lead to all of this?

PolkaDot Pantry is truly a dream come true. Our heart is that this site becomes a community of people who are having fun saving money, making money, and being generous. We can’t wait to hear the stories of the money that is saved, and most importantly the lives that are touched by your generosity!
